Behind the Scenes at HOW Design Live 2017
If you follow HOW Design Live on Twitter @HOWDesign_live or Facebook, you already know we’ve been working hard to put the finishing touches on an exciting new agenda for next year’s HOW Design Live. On May 2-6, 2017, we return to the Grand Hyatt in Chicago where we’ll roll-out an assortment of programming specifically developed for in-house agency professionals.
Produced by IHAF, we’re introducing a brand-new segment next year entitled In-House Masters Series—a two-part offering for creative contributors and corporate executives.
For creative contributors, a three-hour IHAF Master Class will be offered on opening day, Tuesday May 2 at 10 a.m. This compelling session will highlight today’s top trends in house, with marketing and design managers from leading national brands walking us through the steps they took to advance the talent and effectiveness of their teams.
For corporate executives, IHAF is facilitating three distinct CMO Strategy Sessions—offered daily at 7:15-8:45 a.m. from Wednesday, May 3 through Friday, May 5. Each session will include a 30-minute presentation followed by a one-hour facilitated conversation on topics of interest to corporate executives, challenging them to come up with new ways to increase the capacity, capability and contribution of their organizations.
Whether you’re a creative contributor or leading executive, IHAF’s In-House Masters Series at HOW Design Live will challenge you to explore new organizational strategies, expand into new areas, and break new ground to add increased value to your company.
Beyond our partnership with IHAF, the upcoming HOW Design Live will offer additional sessions targeting the unique needs of corporate creatives. In fact, under the leadership of VP and Show Director, Gary Lynch, our 2017 programming is being designed in response to a growing interest in hearing from more senior level creative professionals at large consumer brands.
"These speakers provide insights into the thinking behind major branding campaigns, discuss how their teams operate and, in some cases, share their personal stories,” says Lynch. With confirmed speakers from Coca Cola, General Mills, Hallmark, GE, CVS Health and Pepsico, plus many more in the pipeline, be sure to stay tuned for when our new website and registration details to go live in early October.
We’re also adding more instructional programming including workshops and “how to” sessions as well as non-session activities like studio tours, typography tours and museum visits. If you’re an IHAF member, be sure to register for HDL 2017 using the special discount code available only to IHAF members—you’ll be receiving it via email soon.
Join us on May 2-6, 2017 for HOW Design Live in Chicago! In the meantime, like our HOW Design Live Facebook event page to stay up-to-date on the most current keynote and speaker reveals.
